 Helena
started playing the cornet at the age of fourteen, her first band
being the Long Eaton Silver Prize Band.
Following a move to
Norfolk in 1982 she joined the Norwich Brewery Brass (old Drayton
Band), then went on to play for Matthews Norfolk Brass between
1986-1990.
After a break of 11
years she rejoined Matthews in 2001.
